MENISCUS ZONE

The concept of ”Meniscus zone” comes as a synonym of peace for the citizens of Benghazi. In the formal sense the city's design concept of "Meniscus" was conceived by the analogy of nature based on the bubbles of the Mediterranean Sea and curves inspired by the country's canyons. Like bubbles that find the opportunity to be created in water, the city is located in the desert, and for visitors will be an opportunity to experience nature, which will be achieved by the symbiosis of land and water. The goal will be achieved through the integration of water channel of about 8 km long, which also connects the two nearby canyons.

Kurrizi Tunel

Conceptualized and designed by AET group and DIEFORM
Infrastructural and artistic renovation of the “KURRIZI TUNNEL”.
Initiated and supported by the: Directorate for Culture, Municipality of Prishtina.
After three decades, Kurrizi returns to cultural and artistic, as well as political and historical references. Through this project selected as a winner by the Directorate for Culture, we hope to activate fragments of the collective memory, offering a new active space, suitable for the new generations that will frequent the space.
